URF exists to make human-to-robot relationships more visible, accountable, and worthy of trust.
The status on a robot record describes the current level of enrollment or review. It is not a government license, product certification, safety guarantee, or replacement for professional risk assessment.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Provisional | URF has created a record, but the identity or responsible party has not been fully verified. |
| Registered | A responsible party has submitted the robot and accepted the Human-First covenant. |
| Verified | URF has reviewed the available identity evidence and responsible-party information. |
| Suspended | The record requires review because of a reported concern, dispute, or unresolved identity issue. |
| Retired | The robot is no longer active, but its identity record remains preserved. |
URF does not control, command, or operate a robot. A RIN does not make an unsafe system safe. It creates a durable point of accountability so people can understand what a robot is, who is responsible for it, and what has been reported about it.
